PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join immersion blocks together with less labor; facilitate handling of a manhole structure; achieve, using the joint parts of the immersion blocks, bonding strength equal to or greater than that of a body part; and secure high rigidity for all of the cylindrical immersion blocks assembled. SOLUTION: A lowermost cylindrical immersion block 2 made of a high- strength resin material and having a pit mouth 3 for the start and arrival of a jacking pipe and an extensive cylinder immersion block 4 made of the same resin material are piled up on a resin-filled immersion cutting-edge block 1 having resin concrete or resin mortar 1a packed into the form of a steel plate 1b, in such a manner that the blocks are joined together, using a polymer adhesive 5 for a structure, to form a manhole inside a vertical shaft for jacking work. By making the blocks from resin, the blocks are made lightweight and joined together using the adhesive 5 on their entire mating surfaces whereby bonding strength can be enhanced.
