METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLUORINE-CONTAINING POLYMER LATEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing polymer latex which can provide a fluorine-containing polymer material having excellent powder properties and furnishing a molded product with excellent mechanical properties. SOLUTION: This method for producing the fluorine-containing polymer latex comprises emulsion polymerizing a fluorine-containing olefin by itself or in combination with another monomer in the presence of at least one aromatic fluorine-containing surfactant in an aqueous medium, wherein the aromatic fluorine-containing surfactant is represented by the formula (1): C3n F6n-1 -O-Ar-Z (wherein Ar is a bivalent aromatic group having optionally a substituent; Z is sulfonic acid group or its salt; and (n) is an integer of 1-8). The latex provides a fine powder and a dispersion.
