PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal device for a water pump completely sealing it, having a simple structure and a small storage space, and facilitating the assembly. SOLUTION: A cooling water seal member as a first seal member and a bearing lubricating seal member as a second seal member are installed in prescribed parts of a housing and a fluororesin sliding layer is provided on a lip sliding surface of the first seal member. The components for the seal device are only two, the first seal member and the second seal member, their assembling to the housing is facilitated, and a space for the seal installation can be reduced, thus contributing to the miniaturization of the water pump. |
