PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door open-close device for an automobile having excellent usability and handling properties. SOLUTION: A door 1 rotatably supported to a body through a hinge supporting point is opened and closed. A section in the vicinity of an inside handle 3 and the hinge supporting point have an assist belt 10 mounted between a section in the vicinity of the end section of the door 1 on the reverse side and the section in the vicinity of the inside handle 3, a grip 11 annexed at the proper place of the assist belt 10 near to the hinge supporting point and a wind-up belt 18 connected to the rear of the grip 11. A wind-up device 12 winding the assist belt 10 into the door 1 is secured. The assist belt 10 is stretched so that tensile force to the grip 11 is worked at the end section of the door 1.
