PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a woody decorative molded product capable of ensuring the sufficient coating effect to veneer such as a beautiful finish emphasized in the grain of veneer by coloration or dyeing or the like and capable of efficiently advancing production by simplifying a finishing process. SOLUTION: Predetermined coating treatment is applied to veneer 1 formed by slicing wood and a reinforcing material is bonded to the coated veneer 1 by an adhesive 2 to form a veneer sheet 4. Coating treatment or impregnation treatment is further applied to the formed veneer sheet 4 and this veneer sheet 4 is set to a mold and a molten base material 6 is applied to the back surface of the veneer sheet 4 in the mold to perform injection molding to integrate the veneer sheet 4 with the base material 6.
