PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve position accuracy in a communication type navigation system. SOLUTION: In the communication type navigation system, an on-vehicle terminal receives map data from a center in a picture-file form. When position- detecting points 41-45 are out of a guide route 32 by the measurement error of vehicle position detection, the position of the guide route nearest to the position detecting points is set as the vehicle position after the correction. |
