PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which replacement of main tank is facilitated, and ink can be supplied to a plurality of recording means without causing deterioration of print quality. SOLUTION: A plurality of sub-tanks 20 are connected with one main tank 11 through a tube 15 and each sub-tank 20 is connected with a recording head 5 through a tube 20a. Consequently, the main tank can be replaced easily even in case of a plurality of printers. Since dynamic pressure in the ink supply path between the main tank and the sub-tank has no effect and only dynamic pressure in the ink supply path between the recording head and the sub-tank has an effect, print quality does not deteriorate. Even when the layout of the plurality of printers has a level difference, ink can be supplied from a sub-tank to the main tank and print quality can be ensured by laying out the sub-tanks such that the differential head between the sub-tank and the recording head corresponding to respective printer becomes constant. |
