PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an external power source and simplify structure in a ground fault and short circuit indicator device. SOLUTION: An electric equipment container 1 housing a charging part 2 is internally mounted with a photoelectric transducing part 4 comprising a solar cell or the like. The photoelectric transducing part 4 is connected to an indicator 6 outside the container. The indicator 6 comprises an electrochemical integrating element, which is formed from a material that develops an oxidation-reduction reaction and changes in color when voltage is applied thereto. The arrangement can dispense with an external power source and simplify the structure.
