摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measurement method and distance measurement device for a ferromagnetic body, capable of reducing setting interval between a distance sensor and an electromagnet or a wiping nozzle, even if they applied to a hot dip galvanizing manufacture process, and will not be affected by installation environment, such as zinc vapor or splash. SOLUTION: This distance measurement method has an attraction measurement device 3a measuring attractive force of the ferromagnetic body 1 to the electromagnet 2 by electromagnetic force acting between the ferromagnetic body 1 and the electromagnet 2, a current value measurement device 4 measuring an electric current of the electromagnet 2, and a distance estimation device 5 for estimating the distance between the ferromagnetic body 1 and the electromagnet 2 from the measured attractive force and the current of the electromagnet 2. The current value measurement device 4 is the distance measurement device, that is a device for measuring a coil current which flows through the electromagnet 2 or a device measuring a coil current set signal of the electromagnet 2.
