PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable stone masonry suited for cultivating life on existing river revetments, faces of slopes on roads, landside control works, steep slope works, various forest works, parks, private facilities, and the like, while improving a scenic view and keeping the cost of construction low. SOLUTION: In a standard structure for this stone masonry (stone masonry for cultivating life using huge stones and corrosion resistant steel), horizontal steel members are installed and fixed to the back of a surface structure which is formed by interconnecting steel frames (each 2 m long, 2 m wide, and 0.33 m high, with a corrosion resistant steel plate 4.5 mm thick) each having eight natural crushed stones 8 packed therein. An economical construction method using anchors made of corrosion resistant steel can also be used to stabilize faces of slope. Several anchors 6 made of corrosion resistance steel are stacked at a reinforcement slot to match calculated stresses. Because the roots of trees are stabilized by the huge stones, the trees can be rapidly raised. Because there are large gaps between the stones piled up, fish nurseries, deep water, and rapids are stably created in a river to enable a stable food cycle of fish.
