PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head positively preventing the looseness and fall of valve guides from valve holes. SOLUTION: The valve guide 1 of an intake valve hole 3a is protrusively provided with projecting parts 1a, 1b at a prescribed interval on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical pipe, while the valve guide 2 of an exhaust valve hole 3b is protrusively provided with a protrusion 2a of flat R-shape on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical pipe, at the approximately center part in the longitudinal direction of the pipe. The valve guides 1, 2 of such shapes are respectively arranged in the positions where the intake valve hole 3a and exhaust valve hole 3b are formed, and the valve guides 1, 2 are cast in the cylinder head 3 when molten metal is poured into the mold to form the cylinder head 3. At this time, the valve guides 1, 2 take the form of being fitted to the cylinder head 3 by the projecting parts 1a, 1b and the protrusion 2a.
