PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling effect of an engine and a generating element in an engine generator in which the generating element is arranged on an output shaft side of the engine. SOLUTION: In the engine generator in which the generating element 4 and a cooling fan 52 are arranged on the output shaft side of the engine 3, a generator element rear cover 44 is provided with a ventilating hole 64, and a fan cover 53 is provided with a slit 54. A generator cooling air WG flows from the ventilating hole 64, and this cooling air and a draft flowing from the slit 54 are merged to generate an engine cooling air WE. The cooling airs of two systems of the ventilating hole 64 and the slit 54 are formed by the one cooling fan 52, thereby enabling efficient cooling of both the generating element 4 and the engine 3.
