PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail driving tool for a narrow clearance capable of securely and stably holding and driving even a long nail in a narrow place without reducing the nail holding force. SOLUTION: This nail driving tool is provided with a nail-to-be-driven holding pipe 4, in which a driving steel bar 1 formed with a hammer strongly driving surface A in one end thereof and a nail pushing surface B in the other end thereof is loosely inserted for engagement and on which a compression coil spring 6 having a length more than the embedding depth of the nail to be driven is fitted and of which outside is provided with a nail holding tool 9 of a strong drive opening mechanism for holding the nail 10 to be driven brought in pressure-contact with the nail pushing surface of the driving steel bar 1. A nail vertically holding pipe 8 for surrounding a nail driving side of the nail-to-be- driven holding pipe 4 is connected to the nail-to-be-driven holding pipe 4.
