PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both of a forgery preventing effect and an eye catch effect by providing a new latent image pattern viewed with three-dimensional feeling and its observing method in the case of identifying a pattern by using the technique of 'latent image' where the formed pattern cannot be discriminated at a glance. SOLUTION: By using an element which can respectively set light intensity distribution emitted in the direction of giving parallax as a minimum unit constituting a pixel, pixels are arrayed nearly in the state of stripe or nearly in the state of matrix to form a three-dimensional pattern consisting of a (first) segment group. Furthermore, a pattern consisting of a (second) segment group in a correspondent relation (the inversion of optical intensity, complementary color relation) with the pattern is formed adjacently.
