RECORDING SHEET FOR INK JET PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording sheet containing a nanoporous inorganic oxide or an oxide/hydroxide with improved photostability and improved shelf stability when the inorganic oxide or the oxide/hydroxide comes into contact with an environmental air. SOLUTION: The recording sheet for ink jet printing has at least one ink receiving layer which contains a binder and at least one nanoporous inorganic oxide. In addition, this recording sheet contains a copper salt. Consequently, the photostability of the recording sheet for ink jet printing is increased and the shelf stability of the recording sheet in its contact with a contaminated environmental air is increased.
