SOLUTION: An external light incident window 5 for receiving external light 6 is provided at a casing 11 of the back surface of the liquid crystal display device 10a, and an aperture for transmitting the external light is provided at a substrate 4 on which white color LEDs 8a-8n of direct backlight type are mounted.
