摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen an interval between previous paper and the following one during discharge of printed paper by means of a paper discharging means for contributing to smooth postprocessing without any reduction in productivity. SOLUTION: A distance in a paper discharging passage 20 from paper feeding members 4 and 5 arranged in the rearmost downstream in an image formation part 1 to a paper discharging member 7 via paper conveying members 21-23 is set to be a value longer than a length of maximum-size paper, and a paper discharge driving means driving the paper discharging member 7 at a circumferential speed higher than that of the paper feeding members 4 and 5 is provided. In this way, when paper fed out from the image formation part 1 is discharged at a high speed to the paper discharge part by means of the paper discharging member 7, an interval between the previous paper and the following paper fed out from the image formation part 1 can be widened. Therefore, in use of a postprocessing device, the printed paper can be transferred to the postprocessing device with a spare time without reducing productivity of image formation.</p>
