PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method suitable for fitting a lithographic plate using paper or a plastic resin film as a base to a printing machine equipped with an automatic fitting mechanism. SOLUTION: In the method of fitting the lithographic plate, the lithographic plate using the paper or the plastic resin film as the base is subjected to plate making by using a scanning exposure device and then it is fitted to the printing machine equipped with the automatic fitting mechanism. The double-sided adhesion sheet having adhesive layers different in the strength of viscosity on the opposite surfaces is stuck beforehand on almost the whole of the lithographic plate fitting surface of a plate cylinder of the printing machine, with the adhesive layer having the larger strength of viscosity located on the plate cylinder side.
