PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the operation is instable due to positional shift of toner images of respective colors. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises optical patterns 701 arranged on the surface of a latent image carrier 200 at a constant interval in the rotational direction, means 702 for detecting the rotational state of the latent image carrier 200 by reading out the optical patterns 701, and means for controlling the rotational position of the surface of the latent image carrier 200 based on a detection signal from the detecting means. A latent image forming means has means for writing on the latent image carrier 200 by a writing light and the writing position of the writing means on the surface of the latent image carrier 200 is corrected by a detection signal from the detecting means 702. |
