PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter with high-definition, without any defect such as a bright defect and manufactured simply and easily. SOLUTION: The color filter is provided with a transparent substrate, coloring layers with a plurality of colors formed on the transparent substrate with a specified pattern, and light shielding layers located on boundary parts of the respective coloring layers where at least one layer out of the coloring layers and the light shielding layers are formed on the transparent substrate via specified wettable parts of a layer of a wettability varying component. A photocatalyst containing layer composed of at least a binder and a photocatalyst is made to be the layer of the wettability varying component and the specified wettable parts are highly hydrophilic parts. |
