PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved optical fiber connecting device, which is easily installed on a job site and does not require the conditions of a lavatory or expensive device. SOLUTION: An optical fiber connection is achieved by passive alignment using modular solution measures. On an improved waveguide substrate, exactly aligned waveguides provided with an entrance channel, an exit channel or the both are positioned and fixed. It is not necessary for such a waveguide to be extended over the surface of entrance or exit and to have a non-supported optical fiber connection to the waveguide substrate. When providing a connector module, the supported terminals of these optical fibers are exactly aligned with the waveguides on the waveguide substrate. A connecting pin is provided for easily securing the alignment of waveguides and optical fibers.
