<p>The invention relates to a moulten bath drilling method in order to carry out exact-size drill holes, especially drill holes having a large diameter, in rocks. According to the inventive method, the overburden melt is pressed into the surrounding rock which is cracked open under the effects of the temperature and pressure and the drill hole is lined during drilling when the melt solidifies. A drilling medium in the form of a melt containing a metal is fed into the bottom of the drill hole via a line system, whereupon the bottom of said drill hole is subsequently melted open and cut out. Preferably, a melt that is made from magnetic metal is used. The invention also relates to a drilling device that is used to carry out said method and materials that are used in said method.</p> |
