PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate a possibility of cPA as a therapeutic agent of cranial nerve disturbances such as Alzheimer's disease, a neuropathy in ischemia, Parkinson disease, etc., especially cerebrovascular dementias such as Binswanger type dementia, etc., by analyze an activity of cPA to glia cells as a new physiological activity. SOLUTION: This cerebrovascular dementia-treating agent contains a cyclic phosphatidic acid derivative expressed by the general formula (I) (wherein, R is a 1-30C linear chain or branched state alkyl, a 2-30C linear chain or branched state alkenyl or a 2-30C linear chain or branched state alkynyl, which may be substituted by a cycloalkane ring or an aromatic ring; and M is H or a pair cation) as an active ingredient.
