PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-crosslinked melamine polyphosphate flame retardant which is halogen-free, has heat-and water-resistance, has flame retardance and reliability, and a curable resin composition containing the same. SOLUTION: The surface-crosslinked melamine polyphosphate flame retardant (B) is prepared by cross-linking the amino groups of melamine polyphosphate particles having an average particle size of 100μm or lower and a degree of condensation of 3 or higher with a crosslinker (A) reactive with amino groups. The curable resin composition contains a polyphenylene ether resin (C), a crosslinker (D), and the surface-cricked melamine polyphosphate flame retardant (B). The amounts of ingredients (C), (D), and (B) are 10-98 pts.wt., 92-2 pts.wt., and 1-80 pts.wt., respectively, provided the sum of ingredients (C) and (D) is 100 pts.wt. |
