PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce a clean food packaging container by preventing the adhesion of bacteria to a molding in a process for molding a foamed syn thetic resin container, to facilitate sterilization work without causing an undesir able influence such as the generation of an obstacle in equipment used in a cooling process, to make production work safe and simple, and to improve the reliability of the container. SOLUTION: In a method in which the foamed synthetic resin container, after being molded by packing a resin raw material of expandable polystyrene particles or expandable polyolefin particles from a feeder 4 in the cavity 3 of container molding molds 1 and 2 and heat-expanding the raw material by a heating process by heated steam (a) from steam valves 5 and 6 in a steam pipe connected to a steam apparatus 20, is cooled by a cooling process by cooling water (b) from water supply valves 7 and 8 in a cooling water pipe to form the molding, through drain valves 9 and 10, drain b1 is used with supply water b2 from a water supply part 12 with the cooling water stored in a water storage tank 11 circulated, and the molding is cooled by supplying the cooling water (b) into the molds 1 and 2 while bacteria in the cooling water are eliminated by supplying ozone to the cooling water (b) when the cooling water is used. |
