PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly form a magnetic flux density distribution by using a magnet which is easy to manufacture and inexpensive and to reduce a detection error even if an electromagnetic transducing element and a permanent magnet relatively shift in position. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets M1a, M1b, M2a, and M2b in a rectangular parallelepiped shape are fixed to the yoke 13 of a rotational angle displacement sensor 11. The permanent magnets M1a and M1b are arranged at an interval L and so magnetized that the sides fixed to a flat wall part 15a of the yoke 13 are N poles and the opposite fixed surface sides are S poles. The permanent magnets M2a and M2b are arranged at an interval L and so magnetized that the sides fixed to a front flat wall part 15b are S poles and the opposite fixed surface sides are N poles.
