PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a printing throughput by rotating a skew correction roller only by a quantity necessary for correcting a skew. SOLUTION: This medium conveying device is provided with a conveying passage for conveying a storage medium, a first rotational body arranged opposedly to the conveying passage, a first driving mean rotating the first rotational body, a skew angle detection processing means detecting a skew angle of the storage medium, a pair of second rotational bodies arranged in the downstream beyond the first rotational body in the conveying direction of the storage medium, a second driving means rotating the second rotational bodies, and a driving quantity regulation processing means driving the first driving means only by a quantity corresponding to the skew angle. As the first rotational body is turned by the quantity corresponding to a skew angle, the skew can be surely corrected while the first rotational body is prevented from rotating more than necessary.
