PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic sensitive body for contact electrostatic charging which has excellent image quality free of black dots or ground stains even in high-temperature, high-humidity environment. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic sensitive body for contact electrostatic charging has au undercoat layer and a photosensitive layer laminated in this order on a conductive base; and the undercoat layer has >=1×10<11>Ωcm volume resistivity and organic pigment that the photosensitive layer contains has such a granularity distribution that granularity distribution parametersσg (nm) defined by an 84% passage grain size D84 (nm) and a 16% passage grain size D16 (nm) satisfy the relation shown by equation (1).
