NATURAL PHENOMENON NOTIFYING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural phenomenon notifying system that can notify a person of a natural phenomenon correspondingly to the distance between the occurring location of the phenomenon and the location of the person. SOLUTION: Sensors 1A, 1B,..., 1E detect an electric current flowing from the ground to the air by means of current detecting sections 11. The encoding section 12 of each sensor encodes the potential difference corresponding to the detected current. The transmitting section 13 of each sensor transmits the encoded data from an antenna 14 by containing the data in an FM wave of a frequency which is different from those of FM waves transmitted from the other sensors at the same transmitting intensity as those of the other sensors. A receiving system 2 quantizes the receiving intensities of FM waves received from the sensors 1A-1E at different frequencies as the distances between the sensors 1A-1E and the location of the system 2. The system 2 also quantizes the differences between the data contained in the FM waves transmitted at different frequencies and the mean values of the data in a preset prescribed period as the distances between the gathering location of thunderclouds and the sensors 1A-1E. Then the system 2 performs notification in accordance with the combination of the quantized values.
