PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid structure of a coke oven which improves productivity, reduces carbonization time, decreases carbonization heat and improves a coke quality without complicating the structure of an oven lid refractory and without using a new heat source by surpressing the carbonization delay at the oven port section by improving the heat efficiency in the oven. SOLUTION: In this lid structure of a coke oven, a material having a thermal conductivity higher than that of coke pushed out of the oven contacts with coal as a contact surface material 7 arranged at the inner side of the oven lid 1. The thickness of the contact plane material 7 is 20 mm-200 mm. The contact plane material 7 is arranged so that, when the oven lid is closed, the outer-side end plane 21 of the contact plane material 7 is positioned in the inside of inner-side end plane 23 of an even frame and the inner-side end plane 22 of the contact plane material 7 is positioned in the inside of the inner-side end plane of coke oven flue end bricks. The thermal conductivity of the contact plane material is set at 8 W/mK or higher.
