The invention relates to a device (1) for producing pellets (4) from a viscous medium (2). Said device is provided with a clock-actuated dosage device (11) that is continuously fed under pressure with the medium (2) to be processed. Said dosage device divides the medium (2) into individual sections (3) of adjustable length which are then issued by means of a path S. The invention provides a device (1) with which pellets (4) can be produced that are used as the substrates of pharmaceutical compositions and that have always almost the same size and are invariably reproducible.
