PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional wheelchair, with which the movability and convenience of wheelchair can be remarkably improved, also available as a walking aid, stretcher or portable toilet. SOLUTION: A wheel stand 7 is formed into almost U-shaped plane opening the front side, free wheels 9 are provided on the front part of the wheel stand, main wheels 10 are provided on the rear part of the wheel stand, and a backrest frame 11 and a seat board frame 30 are supported on the wheel stand to be reclined within a vertical plane. The backrest frame is equipped with a headrest frame 21 extended upward to be freely elongated/contracted, an expansion frame 25 is provided on the upper part to be protruded forward and by reclining the backrest frame forward and piling the seat board frame on the front face of the backrest frame, this wheelchair is used as a walking aid for a walking training person, who stands up backward within the wheel stand. By providing the seat board frame with footrest frames 35 and 36 extended forward to be freely elongated/contracted and further reclining the backrest frame backward, this wheelchair is used as a stretcher by turning the handicapped into lying posture. |
