PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker which can effectively suppress boiling overflow without influencing on the lid unit structure such as enlarging a pressure control part and has a compact and well-designed control part. SOLUTION: This electric rice cooker comprises a main body with an inner pot which can be put into/out from the main body and a lid body which opens/ closes the opening part of the main body. The lid body is integrally equipped with a steam discharging port to discharge steam in the inner pot outside and a pressure control unit is detachably equipped on the steam discharging port. The pressure control unit is constituted of a steam guide passage communicated with the steam discharging port to guide the steam upward from the steam discharging port, a steam discharging space equipped covering the steam guide passage, an Oneba (viscous stuff) returning passage to communicate the steam discharging space with the steam discharging port, and a check valve packing corresponding to the lower opening part of the Oneba returning passage to close the lower opening part of the Oneba returning passage against a Oneba counterflow direction.
