PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting portion of a rice transplanter, having a clutch which acts in a simple structure and enables a low cost, a small size and a light weight. SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the planting portion of the rice transplanter, comprising planting arm shafts for driving planting tines, planting driving shafts for transmitting a driving force inputted from the outside of the planting portion to the planting arm shafts, and output driving shafts for further transmitting the driving force from the planting arm shafts to other machines, is characterized by disposing a clutch capable of disconnecting the transmission of the driving force to the planting arms and the output driving shafts on the planting driving shafts. The clutch may have a structure in which the clutch is formed in a multi-shaft state on the planting driving shaft.
