PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method which is good in executability and enabling automatic remote control. SOLUTION: The welding method of welding a nozzle stub 2 penetrating an end plate 1 at a groove worked at the peripheral edge of its through-hole by using a TIG welding torch, in which the groove is prepared to a narrow gap 4 and is subjected to TIG welding and a round part 7 is formed by diametral reduction working in the outer peripheral weld zone of the nozzle stub 2.
