PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and evaporating tool capable of readily changing the evaporated amount of a liquid. SOLUTION: A heater 50 for heating the tip side 88B of a liquid-absorbing core 88 by being inserted onto the liquid-absorbing core 88 of a chemical tank 28 is attached to a slider 58 mounted on a latch device 64. The slider 58 is supported so as to be freely slidable in the upper and lower direction by a base 56 arranged on the upper surface of a case 24, and is urged upward by a compressed coil spring 60. A cam and a cam groove are formed in front of the slider 58, and the lower end 62B of a stopper pin 62 is engaged in the cam groove. An operation switch 66 is attached to the upper end of the slider 58. When the operation switch 66 is pushed in downward, the slider 58 is switched to an upper or lower position by the latch device 64 and locked, and the insertion depth of the heater 50 into the liquid-absorbing core 88 is changed according to the movement of the slider 58.
