PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article showing surface sheet characteristics improved in cushion property, side leak dam effect, dry feelings, fitting and liquid absorption and permeation property or the like. SOLUTION: In an absorbent article 1 formed practically longitudinally long while interposing an absorber 4 between a liquid permeable front sheet 3 and a liquid non-permeable rear sheet 2, the liquid permeable front sheet 3 is non- woven fabric and in the area including a body fluid discharge part, wavy working of continuous projecting parts 3a and recessed parts 3b is applied along with the lengthwise direction of the absorbent article. Then, the height difference of the projecting part 3a and the recessed part 3b is made from 0.4 to 1.5 mm. Further, the width dimension of each of projecting parts 3a and recessed parts 3b is from 1 to 3.3 mm/line.
