PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind-endurance umbrella rib performing stress relaxation action in case of a strong wind. SOLUTION: A dowel 6 is fitted to each middle region of a number of main ribs 10, an active end part 42 of a receiving rib 40 is brought into pivotal contact with each dowel 6, a pivotal contact lug 23 is provided on the inside of the dowel 6 corresponding to the active end part 42, a pivotal contact hole 24 extending along the longitudinal direction of the main rib 10 is opened corresponding to the pivotal contact lug 23, and the active end part 42 of the receiving rib 40 is regulated in the pivotal contact hole to be slid by a pivot pin 43.
