Two gears fitted into each other and placed horizontally in the lower part of a closed reaction-chamber are surrounded by a heating mantle on all sides as well as at the bottom and at the top, separating them from the upper part of the reactor. The reactor is connected to a suction system through an outlet where gases or vapours can be removed. Vertically above the line where the gears touch each other there is a system of jet-like holes or slits.
