Intermediate compartment accommodates water-cooled nuclear reactor connected through steam lines to steam turbines of turbochargers mounted in extreme compartments communicating through shafts with supercharging compressors disposed beyond pressure-resistant hull and attached to spherical bulkhead along its axis; admission and delivery branches of turbocharger gas lines run through board-to-board space and joined to butt-joining assemblies used for connecting the station to gas main.
