mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed gearbox has coaxial primary and secondary shafts and countershaft parallel to said shafts. Gears for relative engagement are mounted on all shafts. Two-position twin shift clutches are installed between three first pairs of gears. Each clutch consists of two two-position clutch members intercoupled with gearshift fork. One of clutch members is installed on rim of gear freely relative to countershaft. Other clutch member os installed opposite to first clutch member on rim of gear of outlet or inlet shaft. two three-position shaft clutches are arranged on hubs of secondary shaft between pairs of low and reverse gears. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced metal usage in gearbox with increased number of speeds. 2 dwg
