PURPOSE: Provided are an oxide pigment for forming a filter membrane, which can improve the contrast of an image display, and a composition containing the oxide pigment. CONSTITUTION: The oxide pigment is produced by a process comprising the steps of: preparing a solution of metal fine particles by adding metal salts, a reducing agent, and a dispersing agent in a solvent; preparing a metal oxide precursor solution by adding a metal alkoxide or metal salts represented by M(OR)n or MX to a solvent, wherein M is at least one selected from the group consisting of alkali metal, alkali earth metal, and transition metal, R is C1-C15 alkyl, n is 1-4, X is halogen atom, nitrogen, or an anionic ligand of sulfonic acid; mixing the solution of metal fine particles and the metal oxide precursor solution and heat-treating at 300-1000deg.C for 5-120 minutes. And the composition contains 1-5wt% of the oxide pigment in a solvent. |
