METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF REFRIGERATOR USING RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of refrigerator using reciprocating compressor is provided to efficiently operate the refrigerator by varying duty ratio of switching control signal to keep current peak value on optimal operating condition. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a first step comparing current impressed to a motor(M) with previously detected current to detect initial current peak value where top dead center(TDC) is 0; a second step setting maximum current value for varying duty ratio of switching control signal to have the initial current peak value when load changes on the basis of the initial current peak value of the first step; a third step operating a reciprocating compression part(L.COMP) by controlling on/off of a triac(Tr1) with switching control signal corresponding with the current peak value of the first step and comparing current impressed to the reciprocating compression part with preset current maximum; and a fourth step varying duty ratio of switching control signal to have the initial current peak value when the impressed current is higher than the preset maximum current value in the comparison of the third step.
