PURPOSE: Provided are a recombinant antigenic protein of FIaB gene of Leptospira interrogans lcterohaemorrhagiae serovar lai and a diagnostic kit using the same. The recombinant FIaB protein can be useful as a diagnosis reagent, a diagnosis kit, a vaccine. CONSTITUTION: The FIaB gene of Leptospira interrogans lcterohaemorrhagiae serovar lai has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. The recombinant antigenic protein of FIaB gene of Leptospira interrogans lcterohaemorrhagiae serovar lai has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2. A recombinant expression vector pGEMT-FIaB or pFIaB contains the FIaB gene of Leptospira interrogans lcterohaemorrhagiae serovar lai. A transformant E. coli NIH/BL/FIaB-EXT1 KCCM-10253 is produced by transforming with the recombinant expression vector pGEMT-FIaB or pFIaB. The recombinant antigenic protein of FIaB gene of Leptospira interrogans lcterohaemorrhagiae serovar lai is produced by culturing the transformant E. coli NIH/BL/FIaB-EXT1 KCCM-10253 and recovering the recombinant FIaB protein. The diagnostic kit containing the recombinant FIaB protein.
