PURPOSE: Provided is an asphalt sealant composition which is used in construction and repairing of asphalt pavement, bridges or other construction structure. It is used as a repairing agent for cracks, a joint sealing compound, a sealant for joining contraction and expansion, various fillers, waterproof agent and binder. The sealant composition has excellent properties such as adhesiveness and flexibility at the low temperature and heat resistant, thus making it utilizable at the region where the temperature change is severe. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises: 30-70wt.% of asphalt which is strait asphalt with the softening point of 20-100deg.C; 2-20wt.% of one or more styrene-conjugated diene block copolymers selected from styrene-butadiene-styrene, styrene-isoprene-styrene, styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene and styrene-butadiene; 21-60wt.% of petroleum resin, hydrogenated dicyclopentadiene hydrocarbon resin; 0.5-50wt.% of waste tire rubber powder and plasticizers and softening agents. |
