PURPOSE: A device for inputting purchase information capable of performing a bidirectional communication is provided to transmit purchase information contents additionally requested in an information collection system to a consumer besides initial information, and transmit the additional purchase information to the information collection system. CONSTITUTION: A bar code reading unit(370) is provided for reading a bar code attached on a commodity. A storage(320) is provided for storing data being transmitted from the bar code reading unit(370) and an information collection system. A display unit(310) displays a bar code reading result from the bar code reading unit(370) and message information received from the information collection system. An input unit(330) receives a response input with respect to a question message from a consumer. A power source unit(340) is connected to an external power source and a battery. A communication network interface(350) is provided for forming a communication path with the information collection system. A microprocessor(360) controls each unit of the input unit(330) and processes data. Thus, commodity information is supplied to the information collection system besides commodity information being supplied by the bar code reading result through a bidirectional communication with the information collection system.
