PURPOSE: A construction method of an automatic water gate discharging water through its lower end which also serves as a fish way is provided to prevent the leakage of water through the water gate and facilitate the opening/closing operation of the water gate by virtue of action of a compressing device coupled with the water gate. CONSTITUTION: In the construction method of a lower end discharge type automatic water gate, operated by the interaction of pinion and rack gears and cylinders, two pairs of cylinders(2) are coupled with two pairs of cylinder brackets(1) at both sides under the water gate, two pairs of coupling rods(4) are coupled with the cylinders by interposing hinges(3), two pairs of supports are coupled to the middle portion of the coupling rods by interposing hinges(7), and two pairs of coupling pins(8) of two pairs of coupling plate brackets(5) are fastened with the coupling rods formed at both sides of the water gate.
