PURPOSE: An infrared rays automobile accident alarm system is provided to effectively protect the safety of passengers in an automobile accident and to prevent vehicle theft. CONSTITUTION: An infrared rays automobile accident alarm system comprises a unit for generating and transmitting a DATA signal by an accident sensor(10), a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(20), and an infrared rays sender/receiver terminal unit(30). The accident sensor is operated if an accident happens, and data about extent and conditions of the accident are taken through the CPU. The data is transmitted to a communication terminal(50) for personal carrying or for a vehicle through the infrared rays sender/receiver terminal unit. The communication terminal transmits the data to the person in charge of accidents through a wireless base station or a communications satellite. Immediate settling by the person in charge of accidents is performed. Therefore, automobile accidents can be effectively settled and hit-and-run accidents can be prevented.
