PURPOSE: A turbo compressor is provided to reduce loss of power by preventing the lubricating or cooling oil from disturbing the stable high speed rotation of the bull gear arranged within the gear box. CONSTITUTION: A turbo compressor comprises a bull gear(100) connected to a rotating shaft, and which rotates at a high speed; pinion gears(101,102) engaged with the teeth of the bull gear, and which rotate along with the rotation of the bull gear; a compression vane connected to a rotating shaft of the pinion bear, and which compresses air; a gear box(103) for accommodating the bull gear and pinion gears; a plurality of bearings arranged at the wall of the gear box, and which supports the bull gear and the pinion gear; an oil feeding unit for feeding oil to the bearings and the portion where the bull gear and pinion gears are engaged with each other; and an oil catcher(200) arranged in the lower portion within the gear box, and which prevents the oil from disturbing rotation of the bull gear. The oil catcher includes front and rear surfaces which form a space by being spaced apart from each other between the front and rear inner surfaces of the gear box; and side surfaces and a bottom surface having holes for discharging the oil outside from the gear box. |
