PURPOSE: Provided is a process for production of peracetic acid by mixing the reaction medium and distillate of a conventional continuous peracetic acid process, thereby producing stable peracetic acid products. CONSTITUTION: A process for production of peracetic acid is characterized in that the reaction medium and distillate of a conventional continuous peracetic acid process are combined into a stable peracetic acid product, if the acid catalyst, which is present in the reaction medium, is neutralized. |
